What Is Actistem Therapy?
Ardent Animal Health’s regenerative cell therapy allows your vet to isolate regenerative cells from an animal’s own fat tissue, wake them up, and re inject them directly into damaged areas. Actistem Therapy is a safe and affordable option for pets suffering from osteoarthritis, soft tissue injuries, hip dysplasia, and more.
How Does It Work?
This ability arises from repair cells that are found throughout our body. In the case of injury or disease repair cells are mobilized to damaged areas to attempt to fix the problem. Due to injury and/or age sometimes our own repair abilities can use a jump-start. By using the pet’s own repair cells isolated from fat tissue in the body, this repair ability can be applied to areas of need.
“I am very happy to say that as of this past August, Sadie has no signs of any arthritis. She is active for her age and shows no signs of pain or lameness in either leg. We believe that this a direct result of Actistem Therapy this could not be any happier.”

PRP Therapy
Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, is blood plasma that contains concentrated amounts of platelets and growth factors. PRP is a non-surgical and advanced means of providing high doses of the body’s own healing factors directly to the area where they are needed.
How Does It Work?
Platelet Rich Plasma is a trending topic in human sports orthopedic medicine. Used for sports injuries as many wear and tear issues. Ardent’s Platelet Rich Plasma Kit, or PRP, is a breakthrough product for pets utilizing blood plasma with concentrated platelets that once activated accelerate the healing properties of the isolated growth factors at a fraction of the cost of traditional human treatments.
Platelets that are found in whole blood contain many healing growth factors and bioactive proteins. These bioactive proteins can initiate tissue healing, and assist with inflammation. The treatment offers an affordable all natural alternative to drugs and steroids.
How Does It Benefit Your Pet?
Ardent’s PRP Kit can be introduced topically in or around an injured joint, tendon, or used in its gel form to treat large burns or wounds. Ardent’s PRP is not limited to acute injuries, it can also be used for chronic conditions.

Pet Owner Testimonials
Deborah and Stitch
“My cat, Sttich, suffered from an autoimmune disorder which defied conventional treatment. He had all of teeth pulled, however, the problem kept recurring with less time between episodes. Dr. D suggested I try stem cell therapy which had shown success in difficult cases. Stitch under went two infusions a month apart with outstanding success. He is finally healthy and putting on weight. Dr. D did an amazing job with my cat and I would definitely endorse this course of treatment. I also highly recommend Yorba Linda Pet Care Center and Dr. D. find the great job they have done with my cats as well as my granddaughter.”
Pet: Maggie
“Maggie is our rescue boxer mix who was diagnosed with patellar luxation in both back legs and hip dysplasia in both hips. She’s had several knee surgeries (including a torn ACL). Despite her pain and the trauma of surgery – she continued to be a bundle of joy – giving us love and laughs. This April, she could no longer stand up from a sitting position or walk. At 5pm, I went to pick her up after her Actistem procedure — and she walked to me…..yes, you read that right…. she walked to me (I am actually crying as I type this)…..through the miracle of Actistem Therapy………Maggie walks to her Momma… It’s now 7 months later – and she’s running around the yard, chasing leaves, squirrels, rabbits and the imaginary “monster”. She continues to bring us love and laughs.”

Pet: Sam
“The improvement of the quality of his life was miraculous. I can’t imagine Sam’s life without the benefits of the Actistem Therapy.”
Pet: Smudge
“She can now run and play with her best friend in the yard, get up without whining and limping, go for walks, and be a normal dog. We have gone from believing she would have a very poor quality of life with a shortened lifespan to believing she will be able to be a ‘normal’ (recognizing that she’s a little goofy-so not quite normal) dog indefinitely. It is, without a doubt, a life changing treatment for her.”
Pet: Jack
“Now over a year after the procedure, Jack is acting like a puppy! No doubt the Actistem Therapy enriched the life of our beloved boy Jack.”
Pet: Becca
“Dr. Dhanoa has taken care of our canine kids for over 15 years. We can say, without hesitation that Dr. Dhanoa is the best veterinarian in Orange County. He definitely gives all vets a good name! He is the first to go above and beyond for the safest, healthiest and most successful option for his four-legged patients. Most importantly, Dr. Dhanoa listens to his clients’ concerns and explains, very patiently, the treatments and procedures that he intends to perform. BOTTOM LINE: He loves what he does and he takes pride in what he does.
Becca, a German Shephard, is 8 years old. We have been fostering her for more than 2 years. She came from the rescue group, German Shephard Rescue of Orange County (GSROC). Becca started to have diarrhea about a year ago. Dr. Dhanoa tried different medicines, changed her diet and prescribed vitamins and probiotics. Since none of them had any consistent results, he suggested Stem Cell and Platelets Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy. This is a new procedure that Dr. Dhanoa believes would work, since other traditional treatments are not working. Becca underwent Stem Cell and PRP treatments in August and Dr. Dhanoa repeated the treatment after one month. The 1st treatment went very well and Becca had no diarrhea for a few weeks. But after the 2nd treatment she has off and on diarrhea. We have had two more PRP treatments with no consistent improvement. We’re still hopeful since there are 2 more stem cell treatments left to be performed. We are appreciative of the efforts of Dr. Dhanoa and his staff at Yorba Linda Pet Care Center to cure her. We hope that Becca gets better and her symptoms improve.”
